Reading!

From Drew's Kindergarten Teacher:

"I completed a reading assessment with Drew today and he was at a Level 4!!  He was able to identify comprehension questions and make a slight personal connection within the text!!  YAY!!"
I hope he loves to read! We have put a couple bean bags in the den, where I have my quiet time, so when the kids come down bright and early, they can join me to read in there. I hope to create in them a cozy, warm association with reading and quiet time.

Annabelle had quite a fall the other day. We had just gotten back from Tae Kwon Do. We were all prancing down the driveway, which is covered in snow, to check the mailbox. Annabelle was running at full speed and basically took a dive like she was diving into home plate. Her arms straight out in front, head down…she slid, too. As I mentioned there is snow on the ground, so she hops up - still feeling strong from Tae Kwon Do and says, "It's ok! I'm a ninja. Ninja's are strong!"

Oops

I just went up to assist Drew with his late night potty time. I sent him off mostly asleep to the bathroom. He was wearing his night shorts and Tshirt. When he came back in the room, He was disoriented and for some reason had taken his shorts off and put them over his head. And then he began to whine because it "wasn't fitting!" Funny what sleepiness makes you do!

Delightful

It's a little surprising, and mostly delightful, to come across pom-poms in my bathroom
sink of all places knowing precious, little hands placed them there.
